Our Canterbury Residence is a brand new home that externally was inspired by the Tuscan villas of Italy. Its restrained grandeur and formality is set by a beautiful ground level loggia, Spanish roof tiles and custom made curved American Oak entry doors. The render finish was chosen to age gracefully and mature over time to create a seasoned look.
The Mediterranean feel extends into the grand entry foyer with floor to ceiling wall panelling and large format stone flooring creating an impressive sense of arrival. Moving past the entry area, the feel is modern classic and features traditional offset pattern tiling and panelled joinery alongside contemporary pendants and hardware. Finishes are textural and tactile, with a palette of fresh greys, stone and natural timbers.
Extending over three levels, the floor plan for the house in contemporary in layout. Its large open plan kitchen, living, dining opens out to the rear covered porch, alfresco dining and relaxed pool area. Bedrooms are large in scale and each incorporate independent sitting areas, walk in robes and ensuites. Other notable spaces include a large basement garage, fully tiled steam room and bespoke wine cellar which is accessed via a hidden door from the private study and lounge.
