Hawthorn is a surviving post-gold rush suburb with a rich and diverse urban landscape. With this in mind, some of our primary considerations in evolving the concept was how to embed the architecture into its geographical context. Elan has been conceived as a bespoke residential development with a considered response to its wider suburban context. The architecture references some of this history and has elaborated this into characterful robust forms with a palette that presents a textured materiality. The apartments are designed to exploit views and offer living environments that are spacious with a sense of luxury.
