Through the expansion of St Joseph’s School, Crosier Scott Architects has produced a co-educational space that allows for future growth inclusive of enrolments and technology advancements. The modernisation of the space integrates both a new build and outdoor modifications to encourage hands on learning in an immersive environment. The space aims to cater for student interaction through the flexible design that allows a free flow of movement that encourages gatherings for celebrations and reflection that creates a warm educational environment.
The interior design of the facility aims to use vibrant colours aid in navigation and traffic flow in larger areas whilst considering student perceptions and their interactions within the space. These spaces have the ability to stimulate learning and promote interaction between peers whilst implementing anti-bullying design features such as the location of storing student bags.
